About The Artist....

MARIANNE H. AU has over 30 years experience as an artist and art educator in Honolulu, Hawaii.  Her classes for adults in Collage, Acrylic Painting and Design were offered at the University of Hawaii and the Honolulu Academy of Arts.
Exhibitions include works in one woman and juried shows in Michigan, Indiana, California and Hawaii. Several juried group shows in Honolulu  include The Honolulu Academy of Arts "Artists of Hawaii", the Japanese Chamber of Commerce, The Windward Artists Guild, and the Association of Hawaii Artists.  Her art works demonstrate an eclectic range of styles and media developed over the years. The Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts purchased a collage of "Diamond Head" for their permanent collection.
Marianne Au received a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University where under her maiden name, Marianne Hoggatt, she was listed in "Outstanding Michigan Artists". A Master of Arts degree was received from California State University in Long Beach. A Doctorate Degree in Curriculum and Instruction was granted from the University of Hawaii in 1989.
Dr. Au was 10 years on the faculty of Chaminade University as the Coordinator of the Masters Program in Secondary Education and the art instructor for elementary teachers.
She is currently a practicing and exhibiting artist.
